I have successfully loaded unleashX unto my xbox through 007 rouge agent exploit. I can get to the unleashX dash where I have the choice of Launch DVD, Emulators, Applications... . I downloaded the lasted version of XBMC and unzipped it and tried to put it into E:\App\XBMC after I shutdown and rebooted the xbox wouldn't boot past the Xbox logo with microsoft at the bottom. I can open up the cddrive because I enabled dual boot but this doesn't boot my dash only allows me to get to FTP again. So I tried some trouble shooting

1) I deleted default.xbe from the XBMC folder while it apps restarted works
2) put in E:\XBMC with default.xbe works same with in the C:\ drive

ok so i thought it just doesn't know that it needs to look for it so I tried the 1st and 3rd shortcut techniques from the xbmc.org wiki

Process 1
1) Found the dashboard file xboxdash.xbe (I know this is the dashboard because when I tried deleting it couldn't get dashboard to work again)
2)Renamed the short cut file in the _tools folder this
3)Put XBMC in E:\Apps\XBMC
4)Replaced the dash with the renamed file
5)created .cfg (MADE sure that I had default.xbe not xboxdash.xbe)
6)Put this into the same path as the .xbe (This was just C:\ by the way)
7) rebooted

Doing this process I believe gives my a 13 error

Process 3

1)Put XBMC in E;\Apps\XBMC
2)used the short cut maker (MADE 100% sure that path was correct)
3)replaced C:\dashborad\default.xbe with this (also tried xboxdash.xbe didn't work)
4)Rbooted

This gives me a 21 error.

I've tried everything besides trying another softmod installer. I don't have the action replay usb I just have the card with the exploit on it. I really don't want to have to open up my xbox if can be avoided.

I'm sorry for the length I just feel that its all linked because I can find parts of my problem here and there but not this exactly and can't find a solution.

Please help I really enjoy the xbmc and want to get it working on my xbox.

So, if you put xbmc in the e:\apps\xbmc folder, your Unleashx dashboard isn't booting anymore???

The only thing I can think is that your E partition doesn't has enough free space left after that.

As long as you can't get it running as an application from within your Unleashx dashboard, don't try to run it as your startup dashboard. You risk to corrupt your softmod.

Or are you just having trouble to launch xbmc as your startup dash?

Hi, I also recently had trouble with this sort of thing.  Which 007 hack did you use? if you used the UXE it's fairly simple. Locate the Dashboard folder in the C drive and either move all the files to E\apps\Unleashx (create if you have to) if you want to boot Unleashx as another Dashboard/app. Then move all of your Xbmc files into the newly empty Dashboard in C. The xboxdash.xbe file is actually a link in the UXE softmod package to whatever Dashboard you are using, so don't delete it just use it to your advantage. I also agree with obcd on the possible corruption of the Xbmc, so try and download another package if this still doesn't work.
