you can either build a eeprom reader or buy a mod chip and those are probably your only choices

I tried softmod and my HDD is dead ... Then I lost the eeprom ...   grr.gif
Now I would get a 120GB HD ...

Tell us more - how did you conclude the hdd is dead? What do you mean you lost the eeprom?

We are not mind readers.

You are still not giving enough details for us to help. Description of the steps you did, the error screens and a the current status of the xbox will help us help you.

Sorry ...
I can not remember well because the last time I tried to make softmod, was last year ...
When tried softmod the first mistake I made was not to check what was the kernel that was ... later:
unlock the HD's xbox, connect it to the PC
I think the screen that appeared was this:

After making a few steps in the tutorial that followed gave error ...

then the xbox has not unlock the HD ...

I was searching and thought it was the eeprom ...

then tried to make the hotswap ... I must have done something wrong and now the xbox gives the error 07

If you need more information please say it is ... I am new to this

P.s.:  if I then unplug the disk and connecting the xbox gives the error 09

Error 7 and error 9? Sound like a dead hdd alright. You might need to build the eeprom reader.

Another option is installing a modchip. Besides that, I can't think of anything else.

regards.

My xbox was still with everything original... including original software, but i lost all information in the hdd ...only have te eeprom...
For now I am not interested in doing softMod... just go back to get it work ...

I think this tutorial is for those who already had the xbox with softmod, right?

Thank you for your help smile.gif
