I softmodded my box with ndure 3.1 using the hotswap and all is working , but I do have a couple questions.

1) I accidentally set it so it boots the msdash when switched on with eject , I don't want it like that , I want both power and eject button to load the softmod. Is there anyway to reconfigure it so it does from the xbox itself? or would I have to redo the whole softmod to get it to that.

2) Can I get my LED to stay red?. During xmbc or unleashX or anything that can set it , it's red , but in game it's not. I had it red on my chipped box that died (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) , but can I get the same with a softmod?.

3) If I leave a disc full of xvids in the drive , when I power up it goes to the ms dash with message about unknown format. When I had my modded box , if I left it in drive it would still load unleashx. Anyway to get it to do that with a softmod?.

1) yes with a file manager look for a folder name ndts on the e:\ drive and launch the default.xbe and look for the option on try state

2)there is an option in both unleashx and XBMC for the led color

3)try the fix for question one if that doesnt work come back and some one will give more advise

Original game disc: Not possible. Softmod is turned off.
Game backups or game on hdd. Possible.

3)
The disc needs to have a default.xbe.

If you want the same kind of behavior like a chipped xbox, you can tsop flash your xbox provided it is not a 1.6

1 use the runtime config and set dual boot off and led red (or use the NDURE tool set and a LED.BIN)
2 E:\NKP11\LED.BIN

Right so LED.BIN for the light (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) , dual boot off in the runtime config , I'll have to do some reading on that as just got into softmods.

You say "or ndure toolset?" , what option in there if it's easier , as I only saw two on the tray open thing

I assumed the xonline is the live dash , and set to the xbox dash it still loads msdash when I start up with eject.

never used Kingroach's 3.1 but there should be a option for "single boot"
you can wait for someone with that knowledge..
but the runtime config is not that hard and if you mess it up it will still boot a "backup disk" IE: slayers
to undo it... (and make sure the path's are what you want)

check sig for files
(look at the runtime_config.inc for the hex value for LED.BIN)

yeah the tray state option is in the ndts just run the default.xbe and it will let you select how u want it to boot

Got it sorted . Couldn't find the option for single boot , tray state only had xboxdash or live dash but after a quick look around ndure basic is the single boot install , I had ndure retail. Clicked basic , it installed that , now softmod boots on both eject and power , can only get to the msdash by selecting it in unleashx . Gave some error bout shadow c , when it was doing it , but everything seems fine , so meh.
