OK I have a hard modded xbox with a 500gb HDD, my buddy wants me to do the samething for him but softmodded. I have mechassault and a really really old softmod I used years ago but it wont show the whole 500gb. I set up and formatted the drive on my xbox and it works fine so what softmod files do I need to install on this drive so it work in the other xbox.

I changed the HDD KEY in the softmod xbox so it matchs my hard mod so I can lock the drive in the hard mod.

any recent softmod has lba 48 support. Since you can set up the hd in your hardmodded xbox you could easily use kingroach's ndure installer and copy the files to the 500 gig
