Hi there,

uhh well I've softmodded my xbox, upgraded the hdd, but when i done the softmod my dash was only v.5958 and I can't boot the original dash when I pres eject, it comes up with error screen 21. i have a game to update the dash but it just says "failed" when I try!!

How did you softmod initially? I think Krayzie's Ndure has a Krayzie's Extras to allow dash upgrade and hence upgrade to retail setup from ndure basic. Similiarly, Kingroach Ndure has Ndure toolset in e:\ndts\default.xbe which gives ftp access to the real C drive. You then apply 5960 msdash, ernie.xtf , xbox.xtf in xodash, followed by the  the rest of the files in C: and E: and select nkpatcher retail setup for eject boot to msdash.

Thanks man, I used Kingroach's NDURE 3.0 to install the softmod via hotswap, gonna try the default.xbe in ndts now!!
