You must have already had a .67 bios on there...

Nope, don't think so. It was retail if not mistaken, it was a v1.0 xbox, it was used, however, it was not a hacked kernal, i would have noticed i'm sure.

Is this not the same box you were asking about flashing the tsop on just a couple days ago?

Alright, I got his bios that I extracted, and I got mine, both original, from v1.0, opened them both in hex editor, and there exactly the same.

what gives?

This thread is extremely confusing.
You say:
- you put a 200 gb hdd in an xbox and all 200 are recognized.
- the box has a retail bios on it
- yet the box boots to an error 9
- this is posted in the tsop forum

There are so many conflicts, with what you have stated, that the point of this whole thread is unknown.

If it boots to an error 9 how do you know that all 200 are recognized?
If you are running a retail bios, how could you even possibly use anything over 8gb?
If there is no mod on the box, what is the purpose of even installing a larger hdd?
If you are instead referring to a softmod, why is this posted in the tsop forum?

What exactly is your question then?

It has a softmod. The xbox had all the standard partitions, but F was 123 gb, and G was 59 Gb. E was like 4, and the rest were normal, stock bios, idk why its in tsop forum. it boots to error 9 because its a dead hdd, it was originally, but it worked for about 2 days.

thanks but it's solved now right? For any people wondering no a softmod does not uses a retail bios. It is altered in memory everytime the xbox boots.

So, the softmod allows it? I didn't know they booted custom bios as well. he's running the SID package.
