Run kingroach ndure installer in BASIC mode.
FTP to your xbox (with shadow C turned off - load the NDTS or search for other ways to turn it off)
Delete all files on C.
FTP over the new C. (From ndure BASIC)

Hi,

you should place the M$dash files of an unmodded C partition in your shadow C partition. If you don't have them anymore, you can extract them from a slayers iso with a program like Qwix.

regards.

Thanks I restored my backup to my ShadowC drive and it worked perfectly. I'd like to ask two more questions.
  1. When I backup my EEPROM with NDTS it saves it in my NKP11 folder correct?
  2. Is there anything else I should backup once I have my C drive and my EEPROM backed up?
Thanks for all the help.

Hi,

the most important thing to backup is the eeprom.bin file. The C backup (before the mod) is handy if the softmod doesn't work and you can use it to place the M$dash back to your shadowc.
You can find the same files in the slayers rescue iso.
If you extract that iso, you can find the C and E folder contents of the 5960 M$dash.
I use the Qwix program to extract Xiso's, but there are probably others that work as well.

The eeprom.bin file is the key to unlock your harddisk with your pc. If something goes wrong, you can easily unlock your harddisk with it. That's why it is so important.

regards.
