Xboxhdm Ver 1.9 Problems, Please Help
« on: January 03, 2008, 01:30:00 PM »

Hi,

xboxhdm is based upon linux. The application sometimes has problems with newer motherboards.
You could try to disable the ACPI power settings in the bios. That might fix your reboot problem.

The locking/ unlocking tools are based upon another older linux kernel (I read somewhere).

You could still try the dos locking tools if you are unsuccesfull with the xboxhdm ones. You can use the liveinfo beta 3 program to calculate the hdd password. (You need to select the right harddisk)

Just make sure you don't type any mistakes. You can brick your harddisk if you do.

If your pc doesn't have a floppy drive, you can create an usb bootstick to boot into dos.

regards.

I forgot to mention that some biosses also interfer with the locking/unlocking. If you set the hdd to none in the bios instead of auto, the problem can go away. Some people just connect the disk after the pc has booted to avoid this conflict.
