What do you mean your Dash can not load its "custom stuff" Do you mean it's booting to the original ms dash?

what wont let you create a new CD? Your PC?

Please start from the beginning, Is this a new softmod? Did you use ndure? 3.1?

Does your xbox boot? Are you getting an error code in the top left hand corner of your tv? Is it booting to the original ms dash?

Sorry bud, that was my friend posting for me. I'll try and clear it up and tell you my problem.

My friend updated his current dashboard (unleashX) and now it only loads the MS dashboard when the xbox is booted.
What he means by 'it won't copy cd' You can't copy CD's to the harddrive anymore, I haven't comfirmed this but I'm not entirely sure if this is true.


He wants to know if it is locked I suppose, or if there is a way to boot from the UnleashX dashboard again?

Hi,

you could try to boot the xbox with a slayers rescue disk in the dvd drive.

it might boot slayers, and the slayers evox dashboard will give you ftp functionallity. You can use that to transfer a working version of unleashx to your xbox harddisk.

Most xbox dvd drives don't read CDR media. So, you will need to use a CDRW or a DVD. I don't know if you should use DVD+R or DVD-R. I think it depends upon the brand of dvd drive in your xbox.

If your softmod isn't messed up, you should get your dashboard running again that way.
