If I Have A Softmod Installed And Slayers Can I Flash The Onboard Tsop

I tried to put a chip in my v1.0 and I don't have a pin header and I think I lifted DO point on board. I used wires and wired the chip with same result. the xbox goes on and off 3 times then Xmas tree lights. I remove chip and box works fine. will the box still function with lifted do point on bottom of board? Anyway, I installed softmod and now I wonder if I can flash the onboard TSOP with slayers and have the same thing as chip without the capability of getting on xbox live. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. thank you. I have the old splinter cell soft mod. I saw a tutorial that lists the mecassult exploit. are these the same softmod?
