Hi,

if the harmony can teach the IR codes of other remote controls, you should be able to use it with the original XBOX dvd dongle.

regards.

Hi,

I'm getting stuck with the xbins guide in the link:

http://www.xbox-scen...icles/xbins.php

I get to step 5 where I enter “/msg xbins !list” with out the quotes and nothing happens.

Can anyone advise on what to do and/or what the problem might be? Thanks.

Just read carefully what is written on your screen before you type "the" magic words.

I made the USB adapter no problem, but I have two different USB memory sticks and both showed broken on the Xbox Memory dash.

Bad luck?  I soldered twice just to make sure.

Can I solder the xbox memory card to the left over half of the usb adaptor and make a back-door usb stick with it?  That way the FatX should already be on the memory card.

or just look for a known compatible USB drive?

thanks

Almost any small usb stick should work.

Got it to work with an extra xbox controller with a usb adapter soldered on, and the stock memory card.  Then I just fired up the driver for the controller and It recognized the mem card straight away.

Had both xbox's modded within about 15 min.

Worked flawlessly (once I found the correct controller drivers)

thanks!

Test the gamesave transfer capability of the memory card first. Play a game on the xbox, save a game on hdd , use ms dash to copy the gamesave to memory card. On PC, copy gamesave with xplorer360 to PC and then delete it away from memory card. Copy the gamesave back to the memory card, connect to xbox and copy the gamesave back to hdd. If the process fails at one stage, your memory card is faulty.

Thanks for clarifying on the above questions. I have a large external hard drive with a lot of movies and music, so I don't want to risk losing them. I'll see if others had luck with the harmony remotes, thanks again.

Hi,

I am using MA and there are rar files in the subdirectories of the hex digit folder. Should I unip all these before uploading to the flash drive?

Thanks uhh.gif

Hi,

One thing is not clear to me here. In the UDATA folder, under the numbered folder, you find a rar file, which in turn includes more rar files. Do we need to unrar those or Xbox will be able to interpret rar files and use them? I am refering to MA game xploit, but I checked and there are rar files in the subdirectory of SC gamesave as well.

Thanks

Leave the files.rar alone. It's during the softmod installation process by unleashX. You don't need to unrar the file beforehand on the PC.

I'm trying to do this, but Xplorer360 freezes up on me after I drag-n-drop. Here's a (reduced) screencap:

Is there anything I can do? I'm pretty new to this sort of thing.

What usb drive are you using? OS? Which version of xplorer360?

SanDisk Cruzer Micro 1-gig formatted by my Xbox.
Windows XP Home with SP3.
Xplorer360 Beta 6. (The version found here.)

Thanks for having a look!

1. Try another flash drive?
2. Another PC?

How is the gamesave packaged?

Sorry for the wait. Things have been crazy here.

I tried it on a computer running Vista (I run XP) and got the same issue. I left it to soak on the injecting screen for about an hour and it never completed. The progress bar never even ticked.

What else can I do?

EDIT: Trying it again on my computer, I finally got it to work! I'm... not sure how, exactly.

EDIT 2: Okay, I've got the save files loaded, but 007 won't load them. I go in to a new mission, get through the cutscene, then back out to the main menu and select Load Mission. Then it gives me an error and says it can't load the saved mission. Argh!

EDIT 3: Okay, call me Captain Observant. My copy of 007 is the Platinum Hits version; I missed this because it doesn't say so on the box, only on the disc itself. How often to we even look at game discs? Anyway, gonna try it with Splinter Cell.
