To be 100% sure.. you should download slayers disk 2.7. It includes fresh C drive files. get the C drive files from there and use C drive patch option to get fully modded C and E drive files. ( look at the pdf for visual explanation for patching, also use Ndure 3.1). After you build the disk, in the installer script , use option '2" which will replace C drive files with correct set of C drive files so you wont have any problem with ms dash.

if you want a generic disk, then you can create a disk with generic kernel and font. They work most of the times in most boxes..
