Hi,

put a ShadowC_Off.bin file, either in the root of of your E partition or in the NKP11 folder of your E partition.

The contents of the file doesn't matter.

reboot the xbox. Your shadowc folder should be disabled, and you should see the real contents of your C partition.

ftp that over to your pc, so that you can put it in the xboxhdm C folder before you create and burn the iso.

You can also check your E partition for a NDTS folder. If you run the default.xbe from there, your xbox will reboot with the shadowc drive disabled.

regards.

Or if I do this how do I get to that file using the xbox as it is?

when you FTP'ed the "C" backup from your original HDD is was the shadowC (it was not the real C with the softmod)
you need to get the real C files and start over...
obcd has posted how to do this

Hi,

xbmc and dvd2xbox are applications you can run on your xbox due to the softmod. You can ftp those back to your xbox harddisk when the softmod is running. (You can use xbmc as your dashboard as well.)

The important parts are the C and E partition of your xbox harddisk.

Xboxhdm can prepare a xbox disk. It will copy everything that is in it's C and E folder to the C and E partition of that disk.

So, you should put the contents of your real C and your E of your current xbox disk in there. Than, you can recreate the xboxhdm bootcd iso and burn it to a cd. With that cd, you can prepare your harddisk.

So, it is important that you use your real C contents and not those of your shadowc. As your shadowc is normally a file on your real c, it's contents will be copied over as well.

regards.

Create a file with notepad on your pc. Put a bit of text in it. Save it. it will have the extension .txt.

Rename it to ShadowC_Off.bin. Your pc will complain about the fact that it might become unusable if you change it's extension. Ignore it and change it anyhow.

ftp the file over to your xbox. As I told you, what is inside doesn't matter. The nkpatcher is just looking for the existence of that filename.

regards.

Fantastic OBCD and xman954 I owe you one thanks alot. I have now upgraded the HD.
The only 2 little problems Ive got now is when I first load XBMC when it loads and I then click one of the tabs Videos, Audio Programs ect i get a black empty screen but when I press back I can get back to main screen then press videos ect again and it will then work as normal? Anyone know as it didnt use to do that?
Second one is that my videos I stream from my WIN MCE PC arnt synched as in the video and audio. Although if the file is saved on the xbox its fine. I have searched for the answer but can't find them.
Thanks again

I'd try a fresh copy of XBMC before going any further.
