I promise this will be my last newbie post and everything will be as I want it!

So I've only soft modded this thing so I can play backups off my HDD. I just don't need to DVD rom for the mod project I am undertaking as it takes up ALOT of space. My question is can I remove the DVD Rom and still have the x-box boot. Similarly will I still be able to play backup games without the DVD rom.

Lastly I haven't yet found any info on it but can an xbox game be ripped to a format the x-box can read (either via direct copy or an iso) that can be ftped straight to a box to play it on. I have a lot of games to backup but I honestly just don't want to use the DVD tray its too bulky and being a thompson will probably die on me soon anyway.

(And like in my other post why the hell does evox not backup my damn eeprom.bin!!!! It's starting to worry me..)
