Restoring To Retail Problem

I had attempting to restore my Xbox to retail using Slayer's, but would only go to an Evo-X screen upon completion. Then I realized that Ndure had a 'restore feature' on it and read somewhere that the softmod is still running...Doh!

Is it still possible to restore it through other means or am I screwed?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
