You need to hotswap again to fix it. Since you don't have the eeprom that's the only way unless you build an eeprom reader or install a chip.

hotswap and in the xboxhdm type "xboxhd".. it will bring up a menu, select "create C drive from scratch".
or, just install softmod using xboxhdm like you did before.

but my harddisk is still unlocked.

so it won't boot even though i do that, right?

i unlocked it using configmagic after i got the unleashx menu.

then i got this "no space left error" that almost everyone got.

i backuped everything with the ndure C: backupscript.

then i unlocked my drive with configmagic.

then i booted xboxhdm and formatted the c: drive.

now i don't know what to do... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Why did you unlock your HDD in the first place?

You had the "no space left" error probably from your Shadow C (which fills C up preventing it from being updated).

If the HDD is currently unlocked and you don't have the eeprom your screwed for using XBOXHDM and can only fix it with an eeprom reader or chip at that point. You won't be able to hotswap the drive unless it is locked on boot.

And BTW no bumping here. Bump your thread in less than a 24 hour period again and you'll receive a warning. Be patient and people will help if they can.  wink.gif

it's unlocked now so no need to hotswap
look in the root of E:\ using xbrowser (part of xboxHDM) there should be a file EEPROM_backup.bin
copy it to you PC HDD and then rename it to EEPROM.BIN and use it to relock

hey guys,

i managed to get the eeprom.bin with an eeprom-reader.
but i do not any files on the original harddisk.

so how can i set up a complete clean xboxhdm ndure installtion?

do i have to use the tool "xboxhd" on xboxhdm to format a new xboxhd and then install ndure like normal?

i should have the eeprom.bin on a floppy to lock the harddisk with "lockhd", right?

would that work?

can you help me out here, folks?  smile.gif

Now that you have the eeprom.bin you can build an XBOXHDM disc with a set of stock C and E files (can be found in Slayers, AID, or CASH).

I would personally just use stock files with XBOXHDM so that you get a clean install, then once it's working and booting to the stock M$dash again you can softmod it (but only if your using a gamesave to softmod).

If your using XBOXHDM to actually install the softmod then you might as well just make an XBOXHDM disc with stock C and E and add the modded files before completing the disc.

BTW you can also lock the HDD directly from the disc, no need to use a floppy. I forget which one, but of the 2 locking tools one you use a floppy and the other it locks from the disc.

ok great, but the "kingroach" installer does have all the retail files included... so if i just use the new hd, i could just format it with xboxhdm (C and E will be completely empty). after this process i could install ndure and all the stock files, including the explotit, would be installed.

could i use my normal xboxhdm with ndure on it?

i can't interpret that list...

i download cash 1.1 right now.
is there a simple folder in the archive with the stock files?

found everything in slayers evox auto-installer 2.7 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
