Ok I will try to explain this best way I can.
I followed the tutorial to softmod my xbox using ndure3 and xboxhdm.
Everything went fine until I pressed option 1 in the ndure menu. As soon as it started to install step 1 it went straight on step 2 and I received the following error -
Cp: read error input/output (or something like that)
the steps continued through to 3 and I got the message - all done.
After reconnecting up the ide cable in the xbox I rebboted and got as far the Xbox logo and then the screen went blank, no menus or anything. I can still load original games If I put one in the drive then turn off the xbox and then reboot through the power switch but can do nothing else because of the blank screen.
After reading through the forums and tutorials again to find out where I had gone wrong I realised I had not updated the ndure script file.
Try again .........
I created a new iso cd (including the new script) and connected pc and xbox up again. Booted into xboxhdm
and selected option 1 . Went into ndure folder and pressed enter.Everthing seemed to boot then I got the above error * NO SMINSTALLER ON CD *
ANY ADVISE ON WHAT TO DO NOW IS MUCH APPRECIATED
