Just to be sure, I ran throuigh the ndure set up again and created and burnt a new iso.
Kingroach stated in response to my previous post that if i had the precise error message then he may be able to help me further. My previous attempt bricked my hard drive because even though I had backed up c:, after the error message was displayed xboxHDM froze and thus I could not restore c:, but thankfully this time it didnt and I got it back to retail. however I recently discoverd a link to "restoring c: with an error 21 so ill give that a go.
This time under advice I also deleated the xbox and book.xtf files before attempting to softmod
Anyhow, the error message reads exactly like this except i've used inverted comas for repeated info

Once again ill appreciate any assistance given, in the mean time I'm gonna try the mod with out choosing to create shadoe c: and see how that goes.
