If you can still boot backed-up games then you can boot a boot disc such as Slayers, AID, or CASH and you wil have FTP access. Just put a dashboard in "E:\dashboard\" and make the .xbe "default.xbe", reboot and you will have your dash. If you can't run a burned disc and you don't have one of the 3 exploitable games (to access the backdoor) then your only option is XBOXHDM. Easiest if you have the eeprom backed up to a PC and you can rebuild, if not then you need to hotswap and fix it, last resort is a modchip (which you shouldn't need since you can hotswap).

download slayers evox autoinstaller using bitcomment there should be an option to  restore the original dash
