Obtain, from the usual places, yourself a copy of Xboxhdm. Extract the .rar file to a folder on your desktop, and look in the "linux" folder in the folder on your desktop. In that folder, you will find two folders, "c" and "e".
Put your C drive files in the c folder and your e drive files in your e directory. These should match exactly your c and e folders from the stock Hd (if you want a clone).
Put your EEPROM in linux/eeprom
Doubleclick "make-iso-win.bat", and it will make an iso file. Burn that to disk with iso recorder or the like, and open your xbox.
Unplug & remove your xbox's HDD.
Take your new HD, and open your computer (while it is off obviously). Leave one CD drive plugged in, the secondary master (the one you will use to boot the disc). Unplug all your hard drives. Plug in your new HDD, and boot to the disk by setting your computer's BIOS to boot from CD first. (put cd in drive, reboot computer.) Your new HDD must be plugged into the primary IDE channel and set to either master with the jumper, or cs if you don't have anything else besides cd rom drive plugged in.
Once everything is plugged in (including your new HDD's power), boot your computer.
It will go to the linux screen.
Select option 1 (type "1" hit enter)
Wait, this can take a while.
Type "xboxhd" (no quotes)
Select the option to "Wipe previous fatx partition" (4?) and answer all the questions as "yes" or "y"
Once complete, type xboxhd (not sure if you need to, but if you type it and it gives you bad command errors, try the other one)
Select option 1
Say yes to all the questions, they just ask if you want an F drive, which I hope you're smart enough to want.
Once that is done, reboot your computer by typing "reboot" on the command line.
Upon re-entering the linux main sreen, select option 3, and type "lockhd -a" without the quotatons.
This retrieves your EEPROM HDD key from the eeprom, and locks the hdd. You will then need to type "poweroff" in the command line (again, without quotations), which will cause your computer to poweroff.
Unplug your newly written xbox HDD.
Mount it in the Xbox, set the jumper to CS, and boot your xbox.
You should now have a new Xbox HDD.
Put your computer back together. (IMG:
