Can Xbox1 Dvd Drive Be Flashed Like The 360 Can

My own xbox has an xecuter chip in it so I have never messed around with the other options available. But the cousin has a virgin xbox1 which he would like to play backedup games on. So I was wondering could the dvd drive be flashed like you can do on the 360 or will I have to do it another way. Basically I dont think he or anyone he knows has any of the games that will work on the gamesave hack an would like to try the hotswap method but dont want to fry it on him. So really I am looking for an option that is nearly fool proof and will not need chipping

If he has a virgin xbox, how doe he propose to make the backups?
