Removing Krayzie 2.8 Softmod

Hey I softmodded a 160gb hard drive on a Xbox 1.0 with Krayzie's 2.8 Softmod. I know in the more recent NDURE installer it makes a backup of C drive and then removes softmod in like 1min or less. I put the NDURE Mechassault gamesave in place of the 2.8 gamesave and I put C backup (as seen on the NDure softmods I've done) on the E drive. Can I just remove the softmod know, keeping all other data intact (apps, videos, games etc...)? I'm going to flash the TSOP, so there is no need for a softmod.

The uxe installer also makes a backup of the C drive (although not as visible as the Ndure installers).
