I reacently softmodded my xbox with the unleashX dashboard a couple of days ago. Everything works fine but for the past 4 months my xbox has always had trouble trying to load the maps on halo2 over LIVE. I would simply restart my xbox and it would load the maps(Wouldnt load the OLD maps). Ive had this xbox since the day it came out and I think I just need a new DVD drive. The problem is that when I try to register a new account for LIVE it goes to the dashboard and starts loading the Xbox LIVE update for some reason and halfway through it says it was unable to update because I have a dirty disk. I took apart my DVD drive and cleaned the lens & mirror and it still says the same thing! Should I just get a new DVD drive or is there a way I can fix this?
P.S.- When I go onto my dashboard I go to "settings" under "Live Update" , and then go to "Check Update" and I recieve the message "Unable to retrieve file: HTTP STATUS 11002"
