Dual Boot Question?

Hey guys,

About a week ago I bought a v1.0 xbox a week ago and have since successfully installed a softmod with ndure and have working dual boot with a bigger hdd.

Now, since I have no intention of using xbox live ever, is there a way make the eject button boot to a dashboard other than the xbox live interface?

(currently have the power button boot to xbmc, if that's of any use)

Any help is appreciated,

if possible, install gentoox (or any flavour of linux) without killing my other partitions? (was unable to locate a suitable tut for it...)

Hmmm.. can't seem to edit my post...

ANYWAY, what I'm really trying to find out is, is it safe to install a non-MS dash onto the C drive? Perhaps even linux? If so, how would I go about doing so...

I dont think it will be safe. Look around linux forums for suggestion.

for turning off dual boot, how did you modded your xbox.

i used Ndure Softmod Through Xboxhdm
i think i also changed half way through to your tutorial, Ndure Installer For Pc, ndure-complete with retail (2) and uddae

and my dual boot is power -> xbmc, eject -> retail 5960

if linux isn't possible, is there a way to make it boot to an alternative dashboard? say, avalaunch or something else
