Do you have a "Dash" or "Dashboard" folder in your e: drive, with the dashboard files in the folder? If you don't then that is why you are getting error 16.

how does your orginal hd boot? modded, stock?

16=missing some files, and lost time.

if its stock files,
.you could install orginal drive , set time, dont unplug box put in new drive, should boot orginal game, attempt to update the dash to hopefully it replaces the missing files on the new drive to allow to boot.

if its not stock, then it doesnt sound like your exploit is kicking in or the hacked dash is corrupted, try replacing with a non-cloned version.

is there a difference to your booting when getting 13 or 21?

can you boot with power and get 21 or boot with eject to get 13 consistently.

can try a boot disk with whatever option gives you 21

no u dont
take xboxhdm put the c backup files in the linux/c and the eeprom.bin in the linux/eeprom make the iso using the make ise win.bat burn the iso put the hd in your computer in primary master reboot the pc with the cd in it boot the cd then you will see the XboxHDM screen go to option 3 and you will get an error but thts because the hd is locked wait for it to finish and then type in "unlockhd -a" with out the quotes and it will say complete then reboot your pc and boot the cd again but this time go to option 1 wait for it to finish loading then type in "xboxhd" without the quotes and then choose option 1 to rebuild the xbox hd and put the c files back on there and go back to retail state choose yes for everything then it will finish after about 6mins and reboot boot the cd and go to option 3 this time when it loads type "lockhd -a" without the quotes and then when it finishes shutdown the pc take the xbox hd out and put it back in your xbox and boot it and you will hve a retail harddrive tht boots everything again and if u want to mod it do so if u mess it up u can use the xboxhdm rescue disk again and this rescue disk will only work on your xbox

btw what version of xbox do u hve i hve v1.0
and the c , e and eeprom folders are in the linux folder in your xboxhdm folder

hope this helps as long as u hve your c and eeprom backup on your pc then if you mess up your dash and cant use it your safe

Hi Master

Thanks for replying to my post. I remember reading one of your post the other day and It made me lmao. I'm glad you got your xbox working so that your mom's did'nt have to take it nor your computer.

when I downloaded xboxhdm 1.9 no c , e or eeprom files came with that file. however I will follow what you said because I feel it's the correct thing to do.

I hope it works. just one more think you are saying no u dont
to my question of do I need a e:file to use my back up c with xboxhdm?

So I'm just going to use my backup c: files and my eeprom. files and try that.

thanks again

yes u dont need the e backup when u create the new hd it creates the E stuff by its self

and did u put the xbox hd in the pc as primary master and boot the burned cd when the pc starts up

slayers disk will not work if your xbox reboots when it gets the error 21 message or 13 because the xbox does reboot when it gets those errors and the cd wont hve enough time to boot

thts why use should use the rescue disk tht u made with the xbox hd in the pc and the cd in the booting cd drive and also make sure u hve the eeprom files and c files in the xboxhdm/linux/c and eeprom folder and if u did make the new hd and it said it was finished did u reboot and choose option 3 and relock the hd again using "lockhd -a" without the quotes

slayers disk is getting really old because EvoX is getting old hasnt had an update in a long time id thnk u should either use Ndure(really good) or PBL or SID 4.5(both good)  i messed up when using SID4.5 because i renamed a file but i fixed using my rescue disk and i use XBMC as my dash and UnleashX as and app unleashX is way better than EvoX , you can get SID4.5 through the Auto.installer.Deluxe 3.0 and Ndure through Krayzie's Ndure + xboxhdm or the many other ways

slayers should boot on the error 21 if you leave the disk in while you boot. just try and boot the disk long enuff to gain ftp access to fix the files that need fixed.

ive tried most of the time it wont boot if u hve an older xbox because of the tomson cd drive

he could try but if u whent back to retail he could redo the whole softmod with any softmod he wanted like ndure and key39 error 21 is the easyest to fix

wait i hve an idea why dont u hotswap ndure+unleashX using xboxhdm and to do this u could just unplug the xbox's dvd drive to get an error 13 and there its unlocked and u can do the hotswap

and daddyj the xbox reboots when it gets error 21 so i dont thnk it would boot the cd it wont boot when when i force this error on my retail hd

well in the other post on the same thing by another guy u told him he needed to create an eeprom folder in the xboxhdm/linux folder but no theres one already there and this rescue disk should work it works for me dont put the e in there just use the c and eeprom on the big hd so  tht the big hd is retail and then remod it if u only hve the modded c backup i can give u my retail backup and u can make another rescue disk using just the c and the eeprom and do what i told u to make the new hd

Master

I really apppreciated all your help. It seems like you was one of only a few how tried to help me.

again I really appreciated.

I got it working on my new seagate drive. Just like you said it was no problem. My major problem was my drive.

I did everything right but the drive was bad. I'm going to go out tomorrow and buy me a new drive. 160gb western digital for $60.00.

I told that guy about the eeprom folder because he didn't know how to lock his drive also in the xboxhdm v1.9  file I got  didn't have no folders inside the linus folder. ie no c:, e: or eeprom,  I had to create all those folders.

one other thing He must use his own eeprom.bin file he can't use anyone elses or it won't work on his box. this is based on everything that I have read. So even if there was a eeprom folder inside the linus folder he still would have to replace that file with his own eeprom.bin file.

again thanks

Jeez I tried to help to!!

And if the hard drive was bad you would get error 9.. The hard drive isnt bad.
Error 21-13 is the DASH FILES are screwed up.

was there anything that you did different with the hd thats working..

I would amost bet the hard drives still good. Because if it was bad it wouldnt give errors 21 and 13..

But anyways...I guess im just typing for nothing...

Edit: I was trying to help you in the other thread you have open about this same prob..
