« on: June 15, 2006, 08:43:00 PM »

Ok i've i have tried doing the hotswap with no success i just have a question
do you start the hot swap after you have selected option 1 and the follow page shows

(IMG:http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/skyzerr33/33qp.jpg)

Or is it done on the main page?

(IMG:http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/skyzerr33/28ql.jpg)

so what do recommend is the best method of unlocking the drive and doing the hotswap

TIA

you should hotswap before your bios detects any drives.. Start you computer and hit [pause/break] key in your keyboard.. now your pc should stay in a blank page or simply stop doing anything.. now hotswap, change the cables and press enter or space bar or pause/break key to resume booting..

hotswap this way.

disconnect ata cable and power cable from the xbox dvd player,   connect xbox HDD to a power molex from the pc.

boot pc into xboxhdm and turn on xbox,   by the time the pc has booted into xboxhdm the xbox should have booted and you should now see a "xbox needs service" screen.       now hotswap the ata cable and press option 1 or 2 on the pc (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
