Screen Is Flicking?

Hi Im new to the whole softmod thing.  Anyway Im using SC Pal 1.1 and I can see the linux option in save games while in Splinter cell.  I click on it and it goes to another screen flicking like mad....I can see green writing and the number 21....but its flicking so much i can read anything.  Yes my tv and xbox are pal.  Any ideas....ive been reading on the forums for 2hrs now and i have no idea......

use a non outdated package. check the pinned topics
