What files and folders are in the /E/backup directory and do you mean the Eject boot is giving the error 21?

Those are all good.

Launch /E/ndts/default.xbe (LED will go red) and choose System -> File Explorer ... how much space does it show next to C and E?

Also, when you choose C what file and directory names does it show?

Those are all good; when you choose the fonts and xodash folders, what file and directory names are in them?

Also, start up again with the Power button and use your dash to copy the /E/backup directory's contents into the empty (virtual) C, then see if the MS dash works when you then launch that C's xboxdash.xbe.

kulprit, the real C is still Ndure'd ... no softmod can be booted directly with the Power or Eject button when the real C is totally retail.

I understand your UDDAE circumstance now ... UDDAE is installed for the real C's MS dash usage (such as via the Eject boot the steps installed) but you're launching the virtual C's MS dash instead, which results in MS's "credits easter egg" for the button combo.

It can also be installed in the virtual C, if you want to see it work that way, by launching /E/ndts/unleashx.xbe (not default.xbe), doing step 5 and then invoking it the way you are...

That's right and the MS dash Eject boot can be re-enabled by copying /E/ndts/files/C/bios/06/retail/bios.xbe to the real /C/bios/bios.xbe {67 not 06 if you have a G drive}.

(It's also possible to change the type of MS dash the Eject boots, via the toolset's Tray Open Options...)

mvorchard; since the virtual C's MS dash also isn't working, then the /E/backup is almost certainly incomplete/corrupt.

Also, the UDDAE install couldn't cause the Eject boot to error 21 (any which way) and the "error" indicates that unleashx encountered an anomaly when it was processing the script actions...

I suspect the cause to be insufficient free space on E and consequently recommend that you:

a. backup something large (lets say 500 Mb or more) from the E drive and then delete what you backed-up (from the E drive);

b. delete /E/backup and /E/ndts too;

c. ensure that your MS dash 5960 backup is good (maybe get it from SlaYers if you're not certain);

d. re-do the steps (except re. /E/dash, as that's been working fine);

e. when you've confirmed the install was successful, you can restore whatever was backed-up in a.

Don't delete anything from real C!

With sufficient free space on E, you simply need to supply the entire MS 5960 dash backup plus all of kingroach's Ndure 3.0 Toolset and perform the steps as stated ... it will subsequently install the real C the way it needs to be.

(If you want to see what it does in detail, view the /E/ndts/Config.xml file and find the sections therein for the options that are chosen during the steps.)

Not even the real C/backup directory, that does not look like the one of mine????

Why I asked? Because my real C only has 704Kb free, and this might be the problem.....

You didn't say anything about the UDDA.... need not to worry about it??

Cheers,

I'm not sure if it helps, but I had a problem upgrading to Ndure from Krayzie's UXE installer, as I couldn't remove the UXE softmod. But I went along and tried to upgrade and somehow my C drive was totally messed up. What I did was reformat the C partition with xboxhdm and delete everything off my E drive except for the TDATA and UDATA folders. Then use Krayzie's Ndure installer. Now everything is fine and works great beerchug.gif

I am having the same problem as X_Cheat3R with F drive. I haven't formatted it and it did not do so during the install. The read me says nothing about 06 as bios type. My softmodded xbox had all my photos stored on the F drive. Is there any way to retrieve my data? Please say it is possible. The raw data is there it never physically erased it. Now I have 0 used and 0 available disk space when it used to be about 220 gigs. Also now the evo x UI states that the bios is unkown....?

They didn't correctly follow the steps I posted and then used krayzie's gamesave installer instead ... did you really do that too?

I followed the readme with the krayzie installer and then came here when I had a problem. His readme doesn't say anything about 06.  I read it four or five times berfore I installed and after I read this thread. I thought I wasn't paying attention. Is the data retreivable? Can I get my photos back? I didn't read this thread until after I lost the F drive and again, the readme doesn't specify or give a warning about data loss on the F drive much less say anything about 06 or 067 bios details. Why does the bios say unkown now on my dashboard?

I haven't formatted the drive. The dashboard and ftp shows 0 GB available. The raw data is still there. Maybe directories are still there and everything is still intact. I haven't messed with it. I don't want to do anything in hopes that my family photos are still there. I can always put my games back on the drive, but I should have backed up the photos to disk. Thanks. Nobody to blame here but me. Hope someone can help me out. I wish I had read this thread first. The readme never mentioned it. maybe it can get updated for morons like me. Something like: Hey idiot- back your s**t up- because thats what smart people do...
