same things happens here so I guess it is normal. Seems like ejecting with a retail game playing does not do a full power cycle and just loads the exploit somehow. If you firts power off and then press eject the msdash should load fine.

{: I confess ... my testing was with Ndure 2.1's retail setup! :}

It's interesting that behaved the "normal" MS dash way (which is how it should IMO)...

yes, the tray is not detected as open untill it is fully open.
and the reboot and testing of tray state happens before it is fully open
a delay could be added to fix this but boot time would increase by 1 or 2 sec
(when using tray boot options)

xman954, hmm, I didn't know your nkpatcher extensions were in krayzie's 1.0 (they're certainly not in kingroach's 2.1 that I tested with).

{: Btw, I've also tested this scenario with some things of yours and that worked the "normal" MS dash way too... :}

I was only saying, That I have seen that Behavior in general and it could be fixed if needed...
maybe i misunderstood, it only happens with closed-retail.xbe ?
(the fan and led settings are enough of a delay ?)

maybe your dvd tray is just faster NP
And I don't think 2-3 seconds extra boot time is worth the problem.... just personal opinion

no need to worry at all. if the exploit was active you shouldn't be able to connect to live.

HomicidalMo0se; thanks for confirming ... for sure your initial eject boot's working the "normal" MS dash way then (and the subsequent eject's behavior isn't a problem).

krayzie; excellent point (that my different findings could be hardware related)!

xman954, it's not worth sweating over {:but options are always nice to have...:}.

Although not a biggie, it's nicer for XBL users (with Xboxes/Ndure setups that behave like mine) than other softmods, as per: http://forums.xbox-s...dpost&p=2626102

TetsuoX; that's still an option (as per any solely softmod setup) but this is simpler for switching between XBL games, when it's working the way it's supposed to, at least.
