I'm getting scared to use this tut now with all these people having problems.  I really wish I had the old UDE2 O2X tut, I used that with not problems but now its obsolete and no where to be found.

if you do everything right then you should have no problem.. make sure you have a stock C drive and you will be fine.

sad.gif .  A tutorial is suppossed to help people, and that's what I thought this would do.  By the way, thanks for the backup kingroach, as I don't see any problems with my tutorial.  Good luck with the Ndure installer!

Sorry if I am scaring away people from this tutorial but I believe that the tut works well. My question is when I download the xboxHDM is there suppose to be files in the fonts folder? The download that I get from the autoreply e-mail does not have any files in it. I will try the download again and also try it from a different site. Thanks for the reply.

QUOTE
On the the part where you wait for the xboxhdm to go throught the 5 parts is there any messages that are suppose to appear? On mines in step 3 it says "cp:/xbox/c/fonts/*.xtf: no such file" in step 4 it says "Cp: Unable to open xbox/c/fonts/bert-generic.xtf" unable to open xbox/c/fonts/ernie.xtf" Is that suppose to be there? I was watching it for the 10th time and figured that might be the problem

after you see it, get back to installer. This time instead of doing the softmod all over again, just select the option that says "Install custom fonts".

The installer does have a file in the cfont folder under the sminstaller folder. The Xboxhdm doesn't have anything in it. Is this the ndure font you are talking about?

Nevermind I just fixed one of my own issues. In order for me to actually choose the reload option the path to the old dash had to be corrected.

I'm pretty sure it's alright to do that.  You still won't be able to connect to LIVE! after you do that, so the only reason to have an MS Dashboard menu action is for game saves or changing settings.  As far as I know, that is perfectly fine to do.  I hardly ever have to use the xboxdash, so in those rare cases, I just launch it from a file manager in the same way that your action works.  I've never run into any problems with it, so you should be fine with that change.

cool.gif  .

I just have a question.
I have an xbox, and it was softmoded when I boughted, running UnleashX.
Now, I have been reading that if you want to change your HDD, you need the eeprom, and hdd key.
In my Xbox, I can't find these files, and I don't know how to get them, so I was thinking if this tutorial can be done in an already softmoded box, or is there any way to generate those files as EvolutionX does?

Thanks for this tutorial.

yuyuxtle...couldn't you just install evox as an app in the box running UnleashX & use it to get the eeprom backup that way?

No modification should be made to any files in the evox folder?
