Okay well I went about removing UnleashX from my xbox.
After I removed the softmod, for sum stupid reason I choose an option to reset xbox dashboard (or something like that).

I thought it was going to restore my xboxdashboard but instead it deleted it.
Now when I turn on my xbox without a game in it, nothing happens.
However, I can still play my games...
I need the xbox dashboard back.
Can anyone help?

I have two xboxs so I could backup the C folder or whatever and put it on the broken xbox only problem is how could I connect to the broken xbox?  I no longer have UnleashX on it so I cant FTP...

If you re-run the exploit, then you can FTP in from the installer menu and then fix whatever is messed up.
Or, you could try connecting to XBL (might work).

first, is it giving you an error message? if it is then your dashboard is most likely gone. if it is just stopping at the "X" logo, then you have some softmod fonts still on the hd. if you still have the softmod exploits on your hd then just run them and ftp into your xbox to delete the softmod fonts (which should be  folder caled "fonts", not "f0nts"). if you dont have the exploits, then you have some work to do.im having the same problem with actually(except i caused mine when building a new hd with xboxhdm). what i have tried already is updating the dashboard with an xbox live game but it just gave me an error 21, so im not for sure if it will work for you. the next thing to try is to unlock the hd with xboxhdm. if you can get you hd unlocked, then just rebuild the C parition with xboxhdm, by taking the C folder from slayers auto-install, and put them in the C folder of xboxhdm, then just follow the tutorial on how to rebuild the C pariton (there is a tutuorial that comes with xboxhdm or theres a thread called xboxhdm for dummies). but, since all of these options have not worked for me, i ordered a mod chip to fix this.

Thanks for the replys guys....

1.  Theres no dashboard of any kind.
2.  Theres no softmod installed.
3.  When I turn it out without a game it says "Contact MS"
4.  No I cannot get on XBL

if you have the softmod installer (which ever you used) on you xbox memory saves then your good. Just place the exploitable game in the dvd drive and run again. If this does not work, you will have to hotswap given that you have your xbox files and eeprom ftp'd over to you computer.

From what I understand the entire C is gone.
Theres no dashboard so theres no gamesaves.
And I cannot put gamesaves on it cause again, theres no dashboard.
Reinstalling the softmod with actionreply really isnt an option..

At this point Im thinking easiest is to get a modchip then flash the bios.

First did you make the pc bakcup of the C drive and the eeprom?

How if only the c drive was messed with then E:/Udata/.... is where the gamesave exploit will be. Try the game that you used to exploit the xbox and see if it works!

Oh okay Im not sure if I deleted the exploit game saves.
I was trying to clean up for the XBL autoupdate lol when this all happened.

Try the game. If you have no pc backup files from your xbox then a modchip is needed. Take care and good luck.

I did backup the eeprom but thats all...
Would it be possible to put back the eeprom and use the C drive of my other xbox?

find the ltools udm and and use your eeprom for the xbox needing help and you will be able to create a restore disc that should give to the right results. Find the tutorial on the udm within the xbe eploits area. Good stuff! Dont lose or mix up the eeproms and take care

Simply use Xboxhdm, tut in my sig, and rebuild your c: partition.

As this question (error 13/14/21/error screen/no dash) has been answered about 1741 times already, here's a short breakdown.

Note : first try to coldboot the exploitable game + installer as suggested.

* Get an original MS dash from SLayers or whatever other source.
* Put it in the correct (/linux/c) folder of xboxhdm.
* Build the iso
* Burn the iso
* Boot the iso with hdd on IDE1
* UNlock the HDD
* Rebuild the C: drive
* Lock the disk
* Done.

yup, if the exploit doesnt work, just get xbhdm, and rebuild your c, if you have your eeprom.

Well the gamesaves arent there, so the exploits options out the door.
Im gonna give the xbhdm a try, I just have 1 question about it....

Would it be possible to do it with a laptop by using the USB external harddrive box.  You basically put a normal 3.5 harddrive into this external harddrive box and it allow you to hook it up thru USB.

I don't think so, I think the HD has to be on Primary Master for it to work.
