Need those pre-Live fonts so games and XBE's that need the fonts can run (And not hang/FRAG).

Handy for coldbooting.

I hope "kingroach" fixes the "ernie" file is his installer, as just like I stated
in my message, and "DaddyJ" also stated, the correct path needs to be:

\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\hack;default.xbe

For everything to load correctly.

File size of the ernie file only seems to matter on some boxes, but I for
sure find the ones which are the original UEEE length of "433" bytes work
the best, and there is still enough padding to the pathname to add sub-
folders for the "nkpatcher" or "closed-retail" files.

I have been using this format ( partition:/folder/) in my uxe installer and ndure installer and people didnt seem to have any problem.. anyway if thats the case I will change the font..

(@anyone: the "%define PARTITION_METHOD 1" means there's no G support ... is this how install prog's generally start?)

@kingroach: I've done some testing with this config and it worked "as originally intended" with the first release of 1.5.  The current 1.5 doesn't have a shadowc (folder or file) in real-C ... will you be putting that back?

Due to the small amount of ppl who have HD's bigger then 250 GB, most installers use the F only option AFAIK. I dont have anything with G support here, or at least to configured to use it.

@kingroach: You going for 1.6 next? Cause if not, i would like to be sure i have DLed the latest package so i can mirror it.

yes, i whould also like to see the .06 nkpatcher or, even better, an option to choose one of it ( with noob-explaination in this step of the installer.)

another thing i whould prefer is changing the hack-path to e:/dashboard. with this the filler-files could always stay as they are, even if a big dashboard (e.g. xbmc) is used. maybe the installer should make 2 folders, c and e!

I saw some people with frag with tray open.. I dont undertsand why it should frag.. I mean tray close evox boot means that closed-retail and nkpatcher is working.. but when tray open, closed-retail just launches msxboxdash.xbe and with fonts in C:\ it should boot..

is it suppose to load a m$ dash upon tray open booting>?  many people have problems with the m$ dash fragging into Error 21, I usually only experience this if the Language isnt set, which should be handled???

I would think that it's more likely they have not followed instructions properly, there was a thread yesterday where somebody was getting an open/21 and it turned out they only had the 2 .xtf files in the XODASH folder.

Maybe it would be an idea to let the installer do everything as I would be suprised if everthing isn't copied via ftp alphebetically anyway.

this might be true ! the dash was a clean virgen dash, so no language or clock was set since it was NOT from a working xbox ! was from slayers, then no time or language ! ... ( dumb me  blink.gif  )

i will test it today afternoon and will report back

maybe it is because they don`t delete the fonts-folder from original c-drive before overwriting the files...

Yeah, for some reason I can't get UnleashX to work with NDure. It won't read from the xml, and it can't save settings either, 123 error everytime. Anyone have any ideas as to why? Or better yet a possible fix.
