Uxe + Nkpatcher Little Confusion :)
« Reply #15 on: June 15, 2005, 04:43:00 PM »

I guess UXE works with all language.. but problem is when someone change language though its not as bad .. For normal users UXE is enough with shadowc.. But this also applies for Ndure.. both exploit needs three basic files ( xboxdash.xbe, two fonts in C:/fonts or in C:/xodash)..

For retail setup with Ndure.. I made an  installer that should be enough for N00bs.. it includes all file.. about 9Mb in size.. but I am still quite cinfused over in-order file copying of font files.. If anyone gives confirmation, I will make this public..

I'm not all that familiar with the setup of Ndure yet. But I think the only important thing is is to make sure the ernie.xtf is copied before the xbox.xtf. Unless your talking about other fonts I'm not familiar with.

Ndure needs to use either nkpatcher(preferred) or pbl to boot.

if you feel up the space on the C drive you don't have to worry about a dash update anyways.  I like filling that space up with a shadowc, you might as well, especially for noobs.  The only reason I can see not having a shadowc is so you can readily see your files if you want to change/play with something.

As far as advantages of Ndure over UXE, Ndure has more stable fonts and if you do the "retail" (i think this can be a little decieving calling it retail) setup you can dualboot with open-tray state to the msdash, put in a game, and go on live.  no need to coldboot.  You are not able to access your live console though.

(rmenhal confirms it too ... in the related readme, which is in the ueee.zip file, that's available at XGuides. wink.gif)
