Freeze Lock

I think he means that the HDD is frozen, meaning that it can't be locked or unlocked. The only thing I can think of would be to try another computer. Of the three computers I have in my house, only one of them doesn't freeze HDD's, And everytime I want to lock/unlock a HDD, I have to use that computer.

When an HD becomes frozen, it will reject all commands. Sometimes this is a conflict of memory, other times it is a different issue.

If you are hotswapping, make sure you connect the hd, after the PC BIOS detection scheme, this will force the PC to return None as the HD. XboxHDM will still see the hd successfully, and should cure your freezing issue, or find another PC of course.

If you just enter your bios and find where your hdd is (should be Primary Master), select  the option there that says none.  This will turn off detection of your hdd and should allow you to lock it.

i booted with the drive normaly and then when linux was fully booted i pulled the power cable out and let the drive spin down and then i put it back it
it worked the drive wasn't frozen any more but i wouldn't  sugest that method to anyone
its very dangerious
im just putting it here from completness

one question: is the freeze lock command still active when power is off the hdd?

coz when i attach it to the xbox another error came by.

i used it to read it from pc and just plugged in, but that should be done after bios detection or when that detection is set off.

xboxhdm/windows sees the hdd but can't do anything with it (xbrowsers gives read errors) so i assume it's freeze locked and before it was unlocked i think.
