Krazies Xbox Live On/off Problem

Hey,
I have had Krazies softmod (best there is) for quite a while now and switching from a modded to non-modded state has been extremely easy.  But today I accidentally removed the Linux Installer gamesave.  So, i redownloaded it from xbins and put it back onto my xbox.  I tested it and it will only send me to the install menu.  Its obvious that after installing the softmod it also modifies the gamesave for the on/off option.  I was wondering if i could just copy the working modified gamesave from sombody elses xbox and copy it on to mine.  Im not shure if the gamesave modifies it self uniquely (maybe according to the eprom or something else) for each xbox or not and dont want to ruin my mod.  Will this work and if not, is there a different way to fix this.
