Uxe Not Letting Me Save Settings In Ms Dash
« on: May 07, 2005, 10:31:00 PM »

i have an hdtv, and every time i want to use the 480p, 720 or 1080 modes, i have to go into the ms dashboard and enable it, and then exit back to evox. but whenever i turn off the box, and turn it back on, or whenever i reset it, the settings arent saved. im using uxe-complete v0.2.1 with the ms dash in the shadow c, and ive also installed uix, i can change the hdtv settings in there too, but everytime i reboot it disables my hdtv settings. im guessing that the kernel is write-only, how can i make it enable the hdtv setting by default? thanks

run evox backup... get a copy of "eeprom.bin" from the backup folder evox creates (c:\fonts\dashboard\backup) ....copy the eeprom.bin file to "e:\shadowc" directory (if the directory is not on e: then make it) ... now it will save

its because its using virtual eeprom (nice and safe)

changed settings in ms dash. (enabled all hdtv settings, changed video to letterbox) quit back to evox menu. ran the backup, copied eeprom.bin to e:\shadowc. rebooted xbox, went back to ms dash, all hdtv settings were disabled, video was set to widescreen (how it was before). i re-enabled everything again, then performed another reboot... and voila! it saved the settings. thanks!
