Uxe, Nkpatcher, Dashboards...

A simple way to explain the boot procedure would be...
Update.xbe gets loaded instead of the MS Dashboard.
Update.xbe loads the UXE fonts.
The UXE fonts cripple the system securities and loads NKpatcher.
NKpatcher is signed properly and runs, and then tweaks the system.
NKpatcher then loads the EvoX dashboard as the new dashboard.
With the securities down, EvoX runs even if it isn't signed.
EvoX then searches for applications and games and adds them to its menu.
You pick whatever you want to run smile.gif.

one question..in old days ..we used Bigfonts and berts and earnie fonts to load "font" signed .xbe.. The fonts were quite big in size .. If I remember corrcetlythey were like 10-15 mb.. but the new fonts are like 1KB in size.. was there any optimization.. or made the sonts make so smaller?..

Gonna try to write up a nice guide on doing a complete manual install soon, although it seems a bit hard since I do things my own confusing-ass way.

Doesn't sound like anyones readin' this.

I should pin it somewhere. Actually, oughta go there now and see if there's any other guides that could use some upgrading. I wanna write a complete UXE manual install guide.

Getting sick of hearing newbs "Yay I just finished using an autoinstaller...now what do I do? How do I use this Evocks thing to play PS2 games?". I'm actually starting to grab flak in IRC channels for these frequent reocurrances of sheer stupidity.

I'm losin' it...lol...typing that was fun though...
