replace the files like said in the readme. Then burn the xboxhdm to cd. And you can also put your C drive files there in linux>C folder.

I got this xbox to work using ndure 2.1  i think that i may have been using fonts that were not for my specific kernal when doing any/all of my previous attempts.

the xboxhdm auto uxe installer would have probably worked if i had checked into the specific fonts options.

 Do i need to have xbox hd hooked up for hdm to boot up? I was just wondering cause I have 2 xboxs and on 1 of them i get error 21...anways when i tried doing hotswap I couldnt get it but i also couldnt get xboxhdm to boot up. So i was wondering if its cause theres no xbox drive hooked up? thanks in advance...

you hard rive is probably locked.. you need to hotswap it..

Hi king, Yes I tried hot swap with no success...But I think I messed 1 of my xboxs up a couple months back when i  tried using hdd driver to do bert and ernie exp...Back then i could hotswap the xbox and get it unlocked 9 out of 10 times...And i think i something got corrupt on this 1...But now i have a shiny new box and want to softmod it...but i want to make sure i have created the hdm sm disk rite...Cause with no xbox hard drive hooked up the disk wont boot up is this normal??Also got the package from the usual places and in your tut you mention sminstaller which is not in the package i got...But everything else is there fonts,nk,evox.

no installer doesnt need xboxhdm cd.. anyway there is a tutorial on how to use the package and burn it properly..

Ive installed this soft mod to an old maxtor 120gig hdd. Everything worked like a charm and i was all happy =) i transfered some apps and games that i wanted and it really looked awsome...but when i started the games it sounded a bit odd..some of the sound is missing hehe when i shot with my pistol in GUN its silent and same with all other games. i can hear the background sound and all that. Sound is there with my tsop modded xbox so nothing wrong with tv or game.

any sugestion would be great.

Hey RK,

 Recently did a clean install using Xboxhdm on a 160gb 1.4v xbox locking and unlocking using it's eprom.bin

 Worked like a charm.

I also installed the softmod Uxe Package For Xboxhdm using option 2

" Installs UXE+ NKpatcher+ shadowc.img in E:\shadowc folder"

This worked great.. no more error 21 with original NCAA topspin dvd.
 

  I was getting this error 21 with my last softmod when loading up topspin ncaa 2005 in the dvd...everything               else worked fine.
I have read this dual game dvd trys to update thus the error.  Anyone know of other games that do this sort of thing???

Anyhow all is good...mostly...

  I recenty set up a menu Item "MS Dashboard","c:\xboxdash.xbe" in evox.ini

  When I go to use the menu it goes to the green xbox boot screen for a sec or two then back to the evox dash.
 
Is it even possible to load the original msdash? I think it was talked about earlyier in this thread.
