each xbox hard drive is locked with a code that only the xbox it was originally in can unlock....simply taking the HD out of one xbox and putting it in another will not work.

you either need to buy a memory card and an exploitable game or look into hotswapping (which you may not want to do with an xbox that isn't yours...)
