Topic: Accidently Rename Update.xbe To Xboxdash.xbe (Read 401 times)

As in the topic...I renamed update.xbe to xboxdash.xbe accidently when trying to go to retail, my xbox is in retail state except for e and f....and the update.xbe...so when I turn on my xbox it tries to update xbl and says it cant connect and stuff...its not working.....What do I do?

I dont have ftp access my gamesave got corrupted somehow...is there a way I can fix without xboxhdm?

I was going to install UXE manually afterwards.

IIRC, if the gamesave is corrupted, the only way you can possibly save it, is with a hotswap or a modchip.

Hmm I dont know if its corrupted I just get an error 21 when I try to boot it.

Can 007 or Mechassault load a gamesave from the mem card?

also IIRC, they wont boot from a memory card, because .xbe's wont load from mem cards...

Can you give me step by step instructions on how I would do it, and can I use a laptop?

Know what the funny thing is I can still access Xbox Live from games...Like Halo 2 lol.

It would be easier over aim, if your going to give me instructions lets use that, my aim name is XvCool PunkvX.

well, it can be done with a laptop, but you must have an adapter for the hdd.
