actually i think there's a problem....the XTF files (fonts) are actually given headers in the code. due to this, the bert and ernie fonts are actually named xbox.xtf and xboxbook.xtf...i think that would screw things up....just name the whole folder to something else

rename "C:\fonts" "C:\hfonts"
rename "C:\fontsback" "C:\fonts"

or something like that....also i'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do with the rest of the stuff...setting up another exploit? eh...whatever floats your boat.

Okay what do you mean by im trying to set up another exploit?

Do I just have to rename the font files or everything else like I did?

i'm not 100% positive, but i believe having xbox.xtf, xboxbook.xtf and the hacked fonts all in the same folder will cause problems.

what exactly are you trying to do with this uninstaller? return everything to normal? you seem to be messing around with the st.db and such and i just wasn't sure why. my thoughts were that you were trying to uninstall the font exploit, and then install the audio exploit. you can do that if you want, i was just confused because it's more of an exploit switcher than an exploit uninstaller.

i think all you'd need to do is switch the hacked fonts with the real ones, then switch the hacked xboxdash with the real one. you may also have to rename the fonts in the root of C...but i think with UXE they don't make a difference so they could be left as stock with the exploit installed.

The other stuff is not needed to be renamed, as it does not effect the exploit usage

CODE

Info "Uninstall Font Exploit"
Warning "This will disable the font exploit"
Progress "Turning off font exploit..."
rename "c:\fonts" "c:\bfonts"
rename "c:\f0nts" "c:\fonts"
rename "c:\xboxdash.xbe" "c:\xboxdash.bak"
rename "c:\msdash.xbe" "c:\xboxdash.xbe"

CODE

Info "Install Font Exploit"
Warning "This will enable the font exploit"
Progress "Turning on font exploit..."
rename "c:\fonts" "c:\f0nts"
rename "c:\bfonts" "c:\fonts"
rename "c:\xboxdash.xbe" "c:\msdash.xbe"
rename "c:\xboxdash.bak" "c:\xboxdash.xbe"

I didnt test these, but they look acurate, please have a recoevery method, and do some of your own research before trying them.

one time a friend of mine (a mod chipper) and i were arguing over which were better, softmods or chips. he asked me if i could boot off of an unlocked drive, but i told him that as long as you had a backup of your eeprom, that wouldn't happen. then i asked him if he had broken any xboxes, and he said "well yeah....but i'm sure you've screwed things up too". i said that yes, indeed, i had made some mistakes. but the biggest advantage of softmodding is that virtually everything is fixable, so long as you have a backup of the drives and the eeprom. i had screwed up a few xboxes, but had always been able to fix them after some xboxhdm work. then i told him that i had never written a script so bad that it had lit an xbox on fire. he looked kinda ashamed because apperantly you can do that with a soldering iron....and i laughed at him because i was sitting there when he did it.....

and the moral of the story is....i hope you have a backup of your drives and eeprom! because although you can't light it on fire, you can still mess your box up nicely!
and sure....here....have a cookie....

edit: i'm sorry....is it just me or does that cookie look totally unappetizing?

backup of your drives

Actually, you only need retail fonts, and your Audio folder, the rest can be recreated using a LIVE enabled game wink.gif

But yeah, MAKE SEVERAL BACKUPS OF YOUR EEPROM.

.....wow, dashupdate as an app?! i hadn't even thought of that. i'm really and truly impressed that you'd think to do that. i guess that's why they pay you the big bucks here at X-S...big bucks meaning zero bucks.

edit: EAT THA FREAKIN COOKIE BUNNY!  wink.gif

((haha imagine if we had X-S hazing...wow that would be funny))

My uninstaller works like a charm! Its done in less time then u can blink, But whenever I reinstall with waffletools it deletes the audio, xodash, xboxdashdata105ead00, good-fonts, and all the other folders and files...is there a way to stop it? What installer does not do this....?
