The problem was with an extra feature..  If everything works the way you want it to now, and you don't expect to play around with anything just leave it at that..  If this guy knows zero about modding you don't really wanna give him access to the installer anyways..  Word of advice, hide any and all means of unlocking the hdd..  One thing inexperienced ppl feel confident doing is unlocking things..

just if its with the EEE switcher which he'll probably be using, in the prior posts about after switching a few times a rename failure occurs, i dont want this guy to freak out if something happens, and believe i havent left him any access to screw anything up,the ini is set up with all that stuff but #'d incase i need to access something, didnt even install boXplorer for a matter of fact,he's still using the stock drive anyway, i just made a bootdisc with all those things and told him not to use it just put it away incase i need to fix something later, if this isnt a problem in the 1.4 installer i have no worries as i know some things have been added in the newer ones

using the MA 1.4 install with the 1.0 UEEE switcher as he doesnt have any exploitable games to fix things himself, just dont want him to switch a few times and get an error and freak out thats all

Listen there is no reason to be so paranoid. You don't need chips or whatever to fix things as I said before. And it depends where you got it but I had to give up one place. But like I explained if you allready have the 2.6 version you could easily do the editing yourself.

did you use a different hard drive with the new eeprom, as your hd might of been linked to your old eeprom, thus the fact of the reban, if you used a different HD with the new eeprom then i would think M$ is scanning the hd, did you use the same gamertag you got banned with the first time

im getting a hold of a used xbox for 40 bucks in a few weeks that has a broken dvd rom, and it so happens i have an extra one so im gonna softmod it and used the gamertag i was banned with, this should prove any HD scanning for files, ill make a post in a few weeks after i get this box and let everyone know what happens

1: only thing you need to make sure of is that you set the dashboard language to english and you have a live enabled dashboard (4920 or higher)

2: i don't know if the SC NTSC save will work on the NTSC-J game but it's definately not risky to use it. It would be extremely hard to mess it up.

Well, it's also an option in nkpatcher, I wondered if your installer had a way of toggling it on or off.

oh yeah and anyone interested in finding the installer look over at the usual places.  biggrin.gif

I apologize for not submitting right away, Iriez forwarded me it again after you sent it in, and I gave the "go-ahead". This will probably be the last (package) accepted if krayzie keeps up on the updates. Right now with my little free time, I'm in the process of getting ltools removed as it is 'somewhat' obsolete.

Great Job none-the-less
