the EEE is a seperate install you have to insert in E:/apps,

in the menu's through evox there is a back up tab, that backs up your eeprom, i forgot where it was saved to though, but ftp that and your c drive to your pc for safe keeping,

if you found krayzie tools you should be able to find the EEE installer, it comes with a readme on how to use and install, its a great tool, thanks krayzie

each xbox has its own eeprom, it serves a few purposes, one it contains the HD lock/unlock codes, 2 if more than on ebox sign onto xbox live with the same eeprom they will be banned from live, so in a sence if the box isnt going to be played on live then 20 xbox's can have the same eeprom, but you need use software to flash eeproms to xboxs'

the eeprom backup is saved on the xbox but the reason you want to save it to your pc and a disc is what if your HD crashes how wil you retrieve it

the EEE switcher works great and enables you to use the M$ dash when needed, at least get and read the readme file, its not complicated to use

are you sure you used this installer? Any demo disc should work fine.  Are you sure your xbox was retail before using this installer? and there should be a dashboard folder on E. try clicking refresh on your ftp client.

5: as it seems coldbooting with retail games will allow you to play live also. For more info about xbox live and softmods look in the tutorials topic

Just wondering, does this mean you can use Xbox live without (U/SC)EEE?

well the SCEEE for instance gives you acces to the online dashboard. That's something coldbooting isn't capable of. And yes the UEEE adds nothing special to the scene. I just added it into the installer cuz it was new (sort of) and people were asking about it. Many people fear coldbooting since M$ could start scanning the xboxdash.xbe file so the UEEE feels sort of confident since it will boot to a retail dash/state.

And yeah x-man right? thanks I read you pm and I'll remember the offer.

I found a little bug in the on/off switching progress. There was an 0 somewhere in the script instead of an o resulting in a rename failure after a few switches. That woud result in an error 13 when you remove the game. No real harm is done cuz you can select the remove function out of the gamesave and install it again and all would be fine. I will release a fixed version shortly.
