So what happens if I insert an Xbox Live game without a cold boot? Will NKPatcher just block all Xbox Live access so I can freely play the game?

re: last question

sorry - sorted it myself - deleted my config.xml and unleash made a new one - then its just a case of thrashing 'A' while saving the skins and trying to push 'start' somewhere in between. then it works.

2.8 is almost done I still gotta find some time for finetuning and testing. I think I might have some spare evenings this week but I aint gonna make any promises.

You only have an F if your drive is larger then 8 Gb. If you have you need to format it. The new version comes with some format options.

Just a note for the people filling up my pm box with all kinds of questions. I mean no offence but my pm box is not meant for that. If you have general questions about modding an xbox and/or upgrading a hd please use the forums like anyone else. I am not some personal assistant. I would like to keep my pm box for only personal things that are only specificly meant for me cuz after all pm stands for personal message. General modding questions belong in the forums.
Thank you

Everything is working great!  The only problem I am having is copying my eeprom.bin file in the e:\dashboard\backup folder to my hard drive via ftp.  Everything else copies over except for this file.  I suppose the file is locked and it will not allow this?  However, I thought this was a crucial part of the softmod, making sure this file is backed up in a safe place.  Any insight would be very grateful!

Peace

Krayzie i see you got a v2.8 coming up!!! Awesome. I saw that you mentioned having some formatting options available.

Mind giving us some other sneak peeks/info on some "other options" you plan on including?

thanx!!

Never mind peeps, I used my brain(search) and I found that the data was saved in the game exploit backup folder as well.  I suppose nkpatcher is locking the file...

yeah it's in the gamesave folder also. The next release will not use the eeprom in the dashboard folder. I will store the virtual eeprom in the shadowc folder so there shouldn't be any transfer problems. Funny how the transfer failure not happens to everyone. Both the virtual C and eeprom transfer fine here.

The virtual c and eeprom file on E drive do not transfer via FTP for me as well, no biggie.  The one thing that I was discovering was that using the 007 version this pack it was not working fully in regards to the virtual c functionality.  I reinstalled the softmod about 4-5 times trying to figure out why I wasn't getting the virtual c to work and then I went on the forum and read one of Krazie's posts mentioning that he was having trouble getting the 007 version to work fully and if possible to use the other two games to do the softmod operation.  So I used Spliter Cell for the installation and now everything works perfectly.

That is a good thing that you are going to relocate the eeprom file away from the e:\dashboard folder because it makes replacing EvoX/UnleashX kind of a pain if you can't rename (or delete) that dashboard folder after the install to put on your own dashboard like XBMC.  The only way that I was able to get a new dashboard in place was to move all of XBMC's folders and contents to the existing dashboard folder.  The original dashboard folder (that is installed with Krazie softmod) could not be renamed (because of that locked eeprom file) so it made the task of installing a new dash a little harder.  I see that was just an oversight.   Thanks for the package.
