Xboxhdm + Ude_v1.4 Method-good Idea?
« on: January 23, 2005, 04:40:00 PM »

Hey guys.  I modded my 1.6 xbox over the summer using the xboxhdm + UDE_v1.4 method described here:

I'm about to mod my friend's xbox, and as I was going through the forums, I noticed there really wasn't anything mentioned about this method.  The xbox I'll be modding is K:5838 and D:5960-am I correct assuming this is still a 1.6 system and I can use the disc that I already have made from my last mod (using UDE_v1.4 files)?

I was planning on getting the eeprom from the stock HD using xboxhdm, and then running the boot disc on a brand new hard drive, which I would then lock using the eeprom from the original HD, leaving me w/ a modded 120 GB HD and an original stock HD.

Is this a good plan, or am I overlooking something stupid.  Thanks for all the help.
