hi, i have the same problems like other who posted here. -> after choosing option 1 or 2 the computer reboots.

so im wondering what other options i have to get acess to the xbox hd. will knoppix work? knoppix boots fine on that computer

I have the same problem as DOMESTICAN. Has anyone with this problem got it to work using the edit?. Before I try the failsafe option i'm going to try the hotswap with a newer pc.

-Reburn the CD and make sure to finalize it, or it will reboot after the main menu (if you press any options).

-Disable Auto Detection for the Primairy Master HD (also explained as setting IDE0/HDA to NONE)

-Disable S.M.A.R.T. monitoring

-Unplug all USB devices (use a PS/2 connector for your keyboard)

-Make sure all networking cards have a connection (xboxhdm hangs on unplugged network cables)

-Remove any add-on cards if all the above doesnt help

Anybody suss this out yet? Im having the same problem and would like to install a bigger HDD.

Just keeps rebooting if option 1 or 2 is selected...

I am having the rebooting issues also. I will try the above mentioned tips and report back. I would love to get this working.

THIS REALLY WORKS AND HELPS PEOPLE, I COULDN'T GET XBOXHDM TO WORK ON MY COMPUTER UNTIL I TRIED THIS SOLUTION OUT!

I'm not an expert here, its my first time doing this.

I think the best advice I can offer you is to try it in different computers (it seems the older the computer the better). The not-failsafe version wouldn't work in my comp, but worked in my sisters old desktop.

I assume it is something in the bios or the graphic display that prevents the program from working, I'm not good enough to find what that problem is.

Have the same problem. Will try Musashi's Tutorial after-work. Mine doesn't reboot but stuck after pressing "1". It starts like "Loading /isolinux/fatximage
Loading initrd.gz ..................................................................................................
...........................................................................................................................
.................................................."

then it stucks. a black screen shows up and keyboard's leds are flashing continuously, nothing happens afterwards.
