Installing Uxe And Retaining The Ms Dash
« on: December 23, 2004, 08:26:00 PM »

I've successfully installed the UXE mod using the included readme (delete everything on c:\ and replace it with UXE) but that method doesnt retain the ms dash. Is there an easy way to install it without getting rid of the ms dash? I'm after something along the lines of the 'UDE -UDE2' command that comes with ltools. I read somewhere that ldots went AWOL and thats why theres not an ltools with UXE support.

-Get the ms-dash out of your backup and rename it to msdash.xbe
-Put the old files on the C drive and put the old fonts in f0nts
-Downloaf Idot's dashboard font patcher [usual places, xbe-xip-xbx-tools in PC section]
then u can patch the msdash.xbe by typing (in command prompt in windows) patcher msdash.xbe -f0nts.
-Copy msdash.xbe

Now your msdash.xbe will look for the fonts in f0nts. good luck
