I softmodded my friend's xbox, and everything was fine, but yesterday he broght it to me and i dont know how to fix it(without modchip). He deleted some of the pheonix bios loader files (he was trying to copy one of his games), and now his xbox won't boot right. It says the config file is missing. He also deleted the hacked mechassault save (which i told him not to do) so i can't ftp the files back over. Is there any way to fix this? Are there any  gamesave hacks that can be booted from a memory card (without copying them to the harddrive)?

If you have your friends eeprom.bin (like in his unique eeprom.bin for his xbox only that you get out of Evox's backup function) you can use xboxhdm to put things straight...

If you don't have it (shame on you; backing up eeprom.bin is a softmodders first job!) you can also try a 'risky' hotswap.

I backed up his eeprom when i did his xbox, but i forgot to back it up when i formatted my xbox.  Is there a tut for hotswapping?

What do you do after you press F1? Do i just use the bootdisk with xboxHDM?
