1) Gain access to xbox using preferred method.
2) Use a ftp client to save the xbox's unmodified c: to your pc in c:\xbox_backup
3) Aquire Font_patcher.rar and extract to c:\xbox_backup
4) Goto START MENU > Run > CMD hit enter then type "cd c:\xbox_backup"
5) Type "patcher.exe xboxdash.xbe -f0nts" hit enter
6) Rename "out.xbe" to "default.xbe" Also rename the "fonts" folder to "f0nts"
7) Delete "xboxdash.xbe"
8) Extract either the 61 or 71 from the UXE package to "c:\xbox_backup"
9) Modify "evox.ini" in "c:\xbox_backup\fonts" to suit your needs!
10) Using your ftp client delete everything on your xbox's c: drive
11) Upload "c:\xbox_backup" to your xbox c:

Any Suggestions on the above?

that should work

but you forgot to mention this:
THE FIRST THING you do when softmodding is run evox's BACKUP function and ftp the generated backup folder (containing EEPROM.BIN) to your pc!!!

as if this isn't stressed enough already... why do people still forget this?!

I dont care what you are doing, having a backup copy of your EEPROM is very smart, and should be explained to do so with every tutorial.

Say they mess up some files, and dont feel like hotswapping, you can make a XboxHDM cd with your eeprom, boot, unlock, fix, re-lock, all without having to type any hd-keys whatsoever.

ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR EEPROM with evox or any EEPROM grabbing utility.

Backup..Backup.Backup!BACKUP!!!!! What if something happens to the hard drive  or if they mess around and lock the hdd with a messed up key or changed the hard drive settings. You can easily fix this with your eeprom.bin you'll make it easier on us that help you fix your xbox if you have the eeprom. And yourself!
