I'm not quite sure what datawrite discs are, but it largly depends on your xbox drive on what discs it will read and what discs it wont.  For example, I've softmodded my cousin's xbox and his doesn't read some types of discs.  Mine reads almost of all them just fine (including CD-Rs).  Again, it depends on the drive your Xbox has.  Sorry if this didn't help.
